WILMINGTON – Sept. 2, 2025 – The Delaware Blue Coats will open the 2025-26 NBA G League season at home against the Westchester Knicks on Saturday, Nov. 8, at Chase Fieldhouse.
The home opener is one of 16 weekend contests among the team’s 24 home games this season.

Delaware will host seven home games during the G League Tip-Off Tournament, which runs from Nov. 8 through Dec. 16. The team will then travel to Orlando for the NBA G League Winter Showcase, the league’s annual in-season scouting event, where players compete in front of general managers and executives from all 30 NBA teams. Following the Showcase, the Blue Coats will begin their regular season on the road against the Cleveland Charge on Dec. 27, before returning home to face the Iowa Wolves on Dec. 29.
Key dates include Wednesday, Dec. 31, when the Blue Coats will host their first-ever New Year’s Eve game. The Kids Countdown to 2026 Tip-Off will begin at noon against the Iowa Wolves, closing out the 2025 calendar year. The Blue Coats will also host their annual Education Day Games on Thursday, Feb. 5, and Thursday, Feb. 12, at Chase Fieldhouse. These field trip-style events for local elementary schools set a franchise record in attendance last season, drawing 2,778 fans on March 20, 2025.
February will be a home-heavy month, with six of the team’s eight games at Chase Fieldhouse, including a season-long five-game homestand from Feb. 5–21. That stretch features back-to-back matchups against the Wisconsin Herd (Feb. 5, Feb. 7) and the Maine Celtics, the 2024 NBA G League Champions (Feb. 19, Feb. 21). March will also feature six home games, tying February for the most in any month.

Season Structure
The 2025-26 NBA G League schedule will again be split into two parts: a 14-game Tip-Off Tournament, followed by a 36-game regular season. All 31 NBA G League teams will play at least 50 games this season.
The Tip-Off Tournament begins Friday, Nov. 7, and concludes with a championship at the NBA G League Winter Showcase in December. Teams are placed into four regions and play 14 games exclusively within their region. The top team from each region, plus the four teams with the best winning percentages across all regions, will advance to the championship round at the Showcase. Each team will play at least two games during the event.
Following the Tip-Off Tournament, all records reset before the start of the 36-game regular season. For the first time, the top eight teams in each conference will qualify for the NBA G League Playoffs, which culminate with the Finals in April 2026.
