City of Wilmington Releases 2023 Water Quality Report

Mayor Mike Purzycki and Public Works Commissioner Kelly A. Williams proudly announce the release of Wilmington’s Water Quality Report for the year 2023. This annual report, mandated by the Safe Drinking Water Act, provides comprehensive details about the quality of drinking water supplied to Wilmington’s residents. The report confirms that the city’s water continues to meet or surpass safety standards set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The 2023 Water Quality Report includes:

– **Testing Data:** Detailed results from water quality tests conducted throughout the year.

– **Regulatory Updates:** Information on the updated Lead and Copper Rule and Wilmington’s readiness to comply with upcoming EPA standards for PFAS in drinking water, effective in 2029.
