2022 DIAA Basketball State Championship Brackets Announced

February 28, 2022

Dover, DE (February 26, 2022) – The Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) girls, boys, and unified basketball championship brackets were released yesterday. The 2022 boys and girls basketball championship format returns to a 24 team tournament field, after the tournament format in 2021 was open to all teams.

The DIAA Basketball Championships will be hosted by the higher-seeded team through the quarterfinals. The Boys and Girls semifinals and finals will return to the University of Delaware for the first time since 2019. The 2020 championship was not played due to the COVID-19 health pandemic and the 2021 basketball championships were hosted at Dover High School. DIAA has received an official appeal for the boy’s basketball bracket. An out-of-state school’s record is currently under review and a decision will be made on Monday.
