BLUE COATS SWAT SWARM 109-105 IN DOUBLE OVERTIME THRILLER

WILMINGTON – FEBRUARY 3, 2022 – The Delaware Blue Coats (6-4), the NBA G League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers, took down the Greensboro Swarm (4-6), 109-105 on Thursday afternoon at Chase Fieldhouse. It’s the Blue Coats’ third win over the Swarm in the regular season.

Jaden Springer, on assignment from the 76ers, led the Blue Coats with a season-high 26 points and 6 rebounds. Paul Reed, also on assignment from Philadelphia, posted a double-double with 20 points (10-19 FG), 15 rebounds, and 3 steals.

Aaron Henry added 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Blue Coats. Shamorie Ponds, the first pick of the 2021-2022 NBA G League Draft, posted 16 points, 11 assists, and 5 rebounds.

Delaware dominated the glass with 57 rebounds, including 19 offensive boards. Jaden Springer knocked down two clutch free throws in double-overtime to put the Blue Coats ahead for good.

D.J. Carton led the Swarm with an efficient 21 points (9-11 FG, 3-4 3FG) and 5 rebounds. Kai Jones posted a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds for Greensboro.
