A community health advocate and civil rights freedom fighter, Monique will discuss her trek from Delaware to Washington, D.C. for the 57th anniversary of the historic March On Washington, where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his “I have a dream speech.”
The organizer of the Delaware People March, Monique fundraised over $2,000 to make the nearly 100 mile trip on foot to be a part of the “Get Your Knee Off Our Necks Commitment March.” In her exclusive interview with show host India Sage Williams, Monique shares intimate details about her nearly 8-day journey to Washington D.C., the obstacles she faced along the way, and why she committed to walking the distance.
