THE SOLD FIRM, BLUE COATS TO TEAM UP FOR “ART MADNESS”

WILMINGTON FEB. 4, 2020 The Delaware Blue Coats, the NBA G League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers, announced today details for ART MADNESS a pop-up art gallery and basketball-themed art competition featuring local visual artists “presented by The Sold Firm on Saturday, March 21 at 76ers Fieldhouse. Doors open at 6 p.m. ET and the Blue Coats tip-off with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants at 7 p.m.

Fans will have the opportunity to purchase artwork, prints, apparel and more from a host of local vendors, in addition to enjoying live painting and art demos throughout the arena. Tickets, which include access to both the basketball game and the art show, are available HERE. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to local youth sports programs.

Artists interested in entering the art competition or reserving pop-up gallery space to vend must access the “Blue Coats Events tab at www.thesoldfirm.com. Photos of work, along with contact information, must accompany all inquiries. Approved pop-up gallery spaces will be subject to a vendor fee. Space is limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

ART MADNESS will be preceded by two community events. First, a Happy Hour Mixer at DECO (111 W. 10th St., Wilmington) on Friday, March 13 from 5-7 p.m. Second, a youth painting session hosted by Blue Coats mascot Coaty and The Sold Firm at West End Neighborhood House (701 N. Lincoln St., Wilmington) on March 14 from 1-3 p.m. Parents and guardians can reserve a seat at the painting session at www.thesoldfirm.com under the Blue Coats Events tab.

ABOUT THE SOLD FIRM:

The Sold Firm was founded in 2018 by Nataki Oliver to exhibit modern and contemporary emerging artists. The program has a diverse range of subjects and is located near the intersection of 8th and Tatnall Street, The Sold Firms gallery space is nestled in Downtown Wilmington’s Creative District. The gallery is housed on the first floor of Artist Ave Station. With less than 1000 square feet, The Sold Firm Gallery is an intimately curated space.
